[Auto-saved Post]

No mother would like to see their children struggle with something difficult or get hurt by doing things on their own - but if we don't let them do it by themselves from now, when will they ever learn?

I admit, I'm a very clingy and do-everything-for-them kind of mom instead of letting them try and do tasks themselves. And ever since I started the #LetThemLearn campaign with Wyeth Nutrition, although it's hard, I learned that it's best for my kids to be independent rather than let them depend on me till they grow older - I mean, until when should they depend on others, right?

But Kenzo has always been independent, even since he was younger. He'd always brush his own teeth, put on his own clothes and shoes, and feed himself - which, as a mom, made me very kiasu because he'd spill everything everywhere! Haha. Not only does this campaign benefit my children, but it also teaches me to be independent and patient too - I have slowly learned to take everything in a positive way and just let them be because after all, they are just children!

Now, what I have come to realise is my two boys are very different from each other, not only because of age, but even when Kenzo was Xander's age, they're different. Regarding Brain Smart, Body Smart, and People Smart.. Xander has been a real help around the house! When Kenzo was around Xander's age, he used to mind his own business and play by himself, not much of a people person. But Xander likes to help clean, vacuum and mop the house! And he's very friendly with almost anyone.

As he grows older and as he has learned throughout the campaign, Kenzo becomes friendlier and more polite, well-behaved. He listens well now and does as he is told, although Xander is just as cheeky as he has always been! I am very glad to be a part of this journey and to have actually paid more attention to how my children grow and develop, acknowledging their words and actions, knowing their strengths, their weaknesses and what to improve on.

Thank you again, Wyeth Nutrition and S-MAMA Club! :)

SmartSculpting by Alainn

If you've seen me in outfits that bare my legs, especially under the sun, you'd notice that I have big thighs - in terms of fats and cellulite! That's why most of the time I always use skinny jeans or leggings, I don't have the confidence to strut around with bare legs on casual days out, only for events. I've always wanted smaller thighs and totally reduce the amount of cellulite on the back of my legs. Thankfully I found Alainn Clinic!

The treatment that I'm currently doing with them is called Alainn’s SmartSculpting™. A program that Dr. Nurul Ain Abdullah developed and that resulted from medical research she does for leading medical companies. Alainn’s SmartSculpting program is designed to target your inner & outer thigh for fat loss and cellulite treatment. The perfect solution to my problem! My first visit with them was on the 8th of November, consultation and first session of the said treatment.

I went into the room and had to weigh and determine my body fat, body water, muscle mass, bone mass, visceral fat. I wasn't really surprised to see my weight was 45.1kg - mind you, I was 40/41kg before this but I've been staying at home with the kids and eating and watching Netflix! Besides that, I also had to measure my thigh circumference - 52cm and 52.5cm. I'm not going to show before/after pictures, so I'll just state my measurements!

This is one of the machines that were  used during the SmartSculpting program! It uses non-contact radio frequency device to induce fat cell death. The plates of the machine was placed at the side of my thighs, and each side took  only few minutes. Great part is that I can watch movies while being treated! Yknow how some places we just have to wait doing nothing while undergoing the treatment.. hehe. But anyways, when the treatment started, I didn't feel a thing at first, but after a while the heat was.. well, heating up haha and that bothered me a little and I started fidgeting, WHICH I'm not supposed to do - I'm not supposed to move a muscle during this treatment!

After that, I had a 20-minute session (10 minutes on each thigh) targeting the cellulite on the back of my thighs. Cooling gel was applied before another hi-tech machine began its job! Only few comfortable treatments like this and… then I was done :) it didn't take more than an hour.

And the results? Permanent fat loss reduction, usually after 1-2 months of completing the programme. A minimum of 6 sessions needed to actually see the results, mostly after 4 sessions.

Updates

Second session (17th November):

Weight - 45kg

Thigh circumference - 51cm & 52cm

Third session (24th November):

Weight - 44kg

Thigh circumference - 51cm & 51.5cm

So total I've lost around 2cm on my thighs! Did I mention that you have to control your food intake and exercise regularly for better results? Haha! I cry. I eat non-stop and I don't exercise at all - if I had been strict since the first session I'm sure I could have lost a bit more. Sobs! Well I have another 3 more sessions to go, so I'm really looking forward! Keep you updated!
